archotour

ten days, eighteen people, driving a thousand kilometres, camping and cooking and immersing themselves into design by checking out more than hundred design products in some part of the world. a group of interior designers, architects, structural engineers and other associated design faculties move together to enjoy a design expedition, the archotour.
'archotour' for us is a must because it allows people to think, learn and exchange thoughts. it brings juniors to teamwork and seniors to network. a pure exercise of uplifting the design sensibilities and quality of work at archohm with low attrition as a by-product.
with learnings of the past we are more equipped to program and organize. with some common and some new members to the tour every year, it's always a fresh chapter in a journey with the archohm family and the extended family of roark (our structural strength) and archohm holland (our dutch extension).
the success of archotour one made us a stronger force. one, it reinforced the self belief that all one needs to do is to dream and work towards it, the result is surprisingly easy. two, seeing some of the members of the team, say diploma draughtsmen, sketching or discussing details of a church or a museum in some corner of europe was more than surreal. thirdly, months before and months after the tour, it was still a great dream and energy dose to perform personally as well as a team.
thus, archotour is inevitable.
