we neither deserved it and nor could we afford it. twenty four hundred square metres of prime land in noida, three kilometers, ten minutes and one traffic light away from dnd (read delhi and archohm's first project).
a clear trade off between location and size. size does matter at times. a sheer opportunity to convert the existing compact office into a design village. a village, as it has flavors across interconnected floors, landscaped grounds and terraces to enhance the working experience of a creative office into a boutique environment; a design studio and a laboratory of ideas. an attempt to give this space every inch of the design philosophy with which the office aspires to work. the mandate was simple, make the place fun and capture the spirit of archohm.
we aspired to start this new studio with the hindu calender's new year, diwali of 2010. we were on 01 05 10 by the time serious design and construction started.
and thus began the great three hundred and sixty five day journey…
